International Conference on Quantum, Atomic, Molecular and Plasma Physics

28-29 March 2012, Madrid, Spain

The VIII. International Conference on Quantum, Atomic, Molecular and Plasma Physics aims to bring together academic scientists, leading engineers, industry researchers and scholar students to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Quantum, Atomic, Molecular and Plasma Physics, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

IOP Plasma Physics Group Annual Conference

02-05 April 2012, Oxford, UK

This popular event follows previous conferences in the series. The 38th IOP Annual Plasma Physics conference took place in North Berwick on April 2011 and was organised by the Atoms Beams and Plasmas Group of the Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde on behalf of the IoP Plasma Physics Group. The event provided an interesting and diverse programme for all scientists working in the field of plasma science, and is particularly intended to help progress and develop the careers of post doctoral and research students.

12th European Plasma Conference

24-29 June 2012, Bologna, Italy

The 12th High-Tech Plasma Processes conference (HTPP-12) will be held in Bologna-Italy on June 24-29, 2012. HTPP is a bi-annual international conference based in Europe with topics encompassing the whole area of plasma processing science.

39th European Physical Society Conference on Plasma Physics

02-06 July, 2012, Stockholm, Sweden

The European Physical Society (EPS) conference on Plasma Physics was established in 1966. The International Congress on Plasma Physics (ICPP) in 1980. The first joined EPS/ICPP conference (in Prague, June 29 – July 3, 1998) was established to bring the two communities together. The boards of both conferences have decided to hold another joint conference in 2012 to promote links between the different plasma communities.

39th IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science

08-12 July 2012, Edinburgh, UK

This conference follows a successful tradition of fostering of close interaction between the plasma science and fusion energy communities and provides a central gathering place for the international community of leading researchers in and plasma applications and fusion energy development.

2 - Symposiums and Workshops

7th Workshop on Fusion Data Processing Validation and Analysis

26-28 March 2012, Frascati, Roma, Italy

The Workshop aims at establishing a specific focus on the analysis and validation of data coming from fusion plasma diagnostics.

17th Joint Workshop on Electron Cyclotron Emission and Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating

07-10 May 2012, Eindhoven, Netherlands

The workshop relevant topics are: Theory and experiments on propagation and absorption of electron cyclotron waves in fusion plasmas; theory and experiments on applications of electron cyclotron emission in fusion plasmas; theory and experiments on electron cyclotron heating and current drive in fusion plasmas; technologic advances on millimeter wave sources and wave-guides.

25th Symposium on Plasma Physics and Technology

18-21 June 2012, Prague, Czech Republic

The objective of the Symposium on Plasma Physics and Technology is to exchange information on tokamaks and other magnetic confinement devices; short lived plasmas (plasma focus, z-pinch, particle beam – plasma interaction, X-ray sources); laser plasma; non-equilibrium low temperature plasma; thermal plasmas; plasma technology; fundamental plasma physics; plasma theory and simulation.
